Ooooby has continued its remarkable growth in 2023, doubling from £4M annualised platform sales to £8M. The number of food hubs (mostly farm based) has increased from from 42 to 80.
The success can be attributed to our small but absolutely dedicated team who have worked tirelessly to give small farms and local food hubs a way to increase their sales, simplify packing and optimising deliveries of fresh local food to local households.
This year, we’ve helped to expand the reach of local food deliveries across the UK, establishing new hubs in previously underserved areas and we’ve also started serving small farm hubs in Ireland.

Hub Growth: Ooooby doubled its UK food hub network to 80, reaching a broader audience of households and producers.
Platform Sales: Platform sales soared to £8M, reflecting the increasing demand for local, sustainable food.
Impact Investment: We welcomed the support of Esmée Fairbairn Foundation, a leading foundation supporting social impact, further solidifying our commitment and capacity to fulfil our mission to put small-scale back at the heart of our food systems. We also welcomed two new impact angels to the table.
Technology Enhancements: We’ve invested in technology development, improving the platform’s capacity to scale and designing a super modern user experience which will be launching in the new year.
Steward Ownership: We’ve doubled down on our commitment to a fair and appropriate ownership model which is designed to engage all the users of the Ooooby platform to proactively contribute to realising our mission and to protect small-scale food producers from being exploited.
